Each Interview EXPO has a unique agenda; however, below is what you can expect from a typical event.

Before the expo

Once you are selected, we will coordinate your travel arrangements. We will keep you posted regularly on what organizations will be attending. Now is the time to prepare your resume and questions you would like to ask. We will also provide you with sample interview questions to help you prepare.

Day 1
Day 1 is a travel day and there are no scheduled events for the day. Candidates will be arriving at various times throughout the day. We will however welcome you once you arrive to the hotel and make sure your check-in is smooth. We will also provide you with an agenda so you can acclimate yourself to the property before the next day's events begin. If you should need to contact us, we will have a visible presence in the hotel lobby and you will have access to our mobile phones.

Day 2
We will open the morning with a brief orientation where we will help prepare you for the day by discussing the agenda, your interview schedule and answering questions. We will also distribute the Event Guidebook which will be an essential tool for your interviews and after the expo. The Guidebook contains organizational profiles along with key contact information. It is also advised to make any interview notes in your Guidebook.

If you did not provide a picture with your application, we will take your photo at the end of orientation.

Day 2 & 3
We start each day off with a showcase which is informative and helpful before your interviews begin. Each participating organization will conduct a brief presentation to introduce their organization to the group of candidates. The types of presentations vary. Some will take a more personal approach, some will have DVDs, Power Points, etc.

After the showcase concludes we will break for lunch which is typically sponsored by an organization. If it is a sponsored lunch, attendance is kindly requested.

After lunch the interviews begin! But do not worry, we have it all organized for you. All your interviews are prearranged for you and will last 20 or 30 minutes depending on the agenda. You will have an interview partner that has the same schedule. Ideally you will have a one on one private interview; however, occasionally employers will interview you together. We do our best to discourage this, but it still occurs.

We have time keepers on the floor to keep the flow going, so focus on your interview and let us keep track of the time.

Clothing suggestions for days 2 & 3:
We do not expect you to wear a suit; however we do ask that you dress professional and tasteful. You are interviewing. No jeans please.
